April 5 Menu #386

I hope everyone is staying healthy and safe during this pandemic.  We survived the first week of distance learning.  Even though I am home more I feel like there is less time for chores and cooking.

Breakfast:
Pancakes

blueberry muffin

Peanut butter toast

Lunch:
Leftovers

cheesy bread w/ marinara sauce
    grapes

Tuna melt
   veggies

corn dog
     kiwi
     applesauce

Snacks:
fruit
crackers
pretzel rods

Dinner:
Baked Walleye - I didn't have potato flakes so I just skipped it.  I don't really like fish, but this was pretty good.
    waffle fries

Cashew Chicken - I used a frozen mix of veggies that included broccoli, pea pods. carrots, and water chestnuts
     oranges

Leftovers and strawberry spinach salad

Lazy lasagna
       salad
       garlic bread

homemade pizza

Vegetable soup - This was a little bland.  I added a pinch of allspice to my bowl.  That made it better

Mongolian beef - I didn't realize this involved frying until it was time to make it.  I generally don't fry for a lot of reason.  John was the cook tonight.  He said this recipe was a lot of work.  On the plus the kids loved it.
panfried noodles - Ben has been asking to try plain fried noodles for months.  Finally found a recipe.
