Jan 21 Menu #271

This weeks dinner menu was planned by my 9 year old.

Breakfast:
Cereal
Bagels, cherries

Lunch:
leftovers
Pancakes, clementines, strawberry
orange chicken rice, Pears, oranges
Nachos, banana, applesauce
apples, peaches

Snack:
Donuts
Yogurt

Dinner:
          Cranberry Pie
           

Mon:  Orange Chicken (very good)
          rice
          oranges
          bell peppers

Tues:  French Toast w/berries & whipped cream

Wed:  Beef tacos - hardshell
           w/ cheese, peppers, tomatoes, salsa, & black beans

Thurs:  Sandwichs 
             fruit & veggies

Fri:  Pizza

Sat:  Turkey Burgers
         Chips
          Pickles

Breakfast:
Cinnamon Sugar Pumpkin Donuts (the maple glazed ones I made last week were better)
Cereal
Cinnamon bread, banana
Bagels, mango

Lunch:
Summer sausage, mango, pears, chocolate chip cookie, crackers
Leftovers

Snack:
Fruit
Yogurt

Dinner:
          BLT w/ avocado and cucumber
           peppers

Mon:  Pomegranate Quinoa Spinach Salad (I used farro perlato instead of quinoa)
          Poppyseed dressing (I made a small amount of this because I didn't want a whole jar in my fridge)
           Garlic bread

           Black Bean Wraps 

Wed:  mac & cheese
           chicken nuggets
           salad

Thurs:  Baked General Tsos Chicken (this was spicy for the kids.  Maybe one tsp sriracha)
             rice 
            brocoli

Fri:  homemade pizza

         Pea Salad

        cantaloup

French toast, yogurt, apple slices or kiwi
Taco, banana, peaches

Dinner:
Sun:   Pizza muffin cups
           chips
            carrots
           strawberries
            brownies
  
          Garlic Bread
          
Tues:  Pea Pods & carrots
             Salmon
             Rice pilaf

Wed:  Spaghetti w.red sauce

Thurs:   Beef Barley Soup
            mango
            grilled cheese

Fri:  Pizza 

Sat:  buffalo chicken quesadillas

          Spinach salad with raisins & sugared almonds slices

            Blueberries & blackberries spinach salad with fig balsamic dressing
            Toast or bagels

Thurs:  Turkey Brats

         Orzo Salad & Coleslaw from the deli

Mon: Eat it Up/Fridge clean out

           Turkey Cranberry Pinwheels
           Puff pastry tartlets
           Spinach dip w/ bread
         Chocolate fondue with fruit

Apple Fritter Bread (I skipped the frosting)

Lunch:
solami, crackers, blueberries
yogurt, pretzels, yogurt, blueberries
Bagel, yogurt, mango

Snack:
apple sauce
orange
cereal

Dinner:
Sun:   Eat it up

Mon:  Sloppy Joes - very good recipe would use again 
         fruit salad (apples, pears, blueberries, watermelon, kiwi)
          Home Fries

             pickles
             Pineapple
             Tomato Soup

Wed:  BLA(vadaco)T sandwiches
            baked beans
            Sweet Potato Wedges

Thurs:  Salad
            Bagels
Fri:  Pizza


Sat:  Ground Turkey Tacos - good taco recipe.  Instead on taco seasoning mix I used approximately: 2tsp chili powder, 2 tsp Cumin, 1/2 tsp dried garlic, a dash of cayenne pepper, a pinch of oregano, 1/2 tsp onion powder, 1/2 tsp paprika.
