Last Week Review:

  • The Fajitas were really good.  Probably the best I've made.  Will make again sometime.
  • Beef & Cheddar fold over was ok.  I had trouble with the dough being to sticky.  I call it sloppy joes pizza.
  • Omelets were good.  I omitted the bacon.
  • Pumpkin Gnocchi was really excited about but my squash was molding so I went with the back up of frozen pizza with a spinach salad.  Maybe in the future.
  • Asian Salad.  I haven't actually made it yet but I think I've made it before and it was good.

REVIEW OF LAST WEEK:

Hamburgers were pretty good.  It was raining so I cooked them on the indoor grill.  4yr old ate 1 1/2 burgers. 4 stars
Oven Fries were also good but I decreased the amount of seasonings by a lot.  I cooked them on the pizza stone and they were crispy.  They only needed to be cooked 30 minutes total.  I had pretty small potatoes. 4 stars

The Kabobs I've made before.  It was raining/snowing today so I skipped the skewers and cooked them in a skillet instead.

Sept 9th Menu

With last weekend being Labor Day Weekend and having an out of town quest,  I didn't follow my menu very well.  We were just to busy having fun instead and ended up with last minute meals like spaghetti and chef salads.  So I am sorry to inform you that there will be a couple of repeats from last week.  If you tried them and liked them you can always eat them again.  This week is also going to be hectic.  I'm going to be single mommy for a few days this week and my baby turns 2.  Chances are I won't be making everything on this menu, but I'll try.

Also will continue to freeze my surplus of CSA veggies.  I'm beginning to run out of room in my freezer.

Speaking of CSA I received some very hot peppers (bright read scotch bonnet).  Not sure what I want to do with them.  If you have ideas for how to use these in a way that young kids will still eat it, let me know.
